About Us

We are a newly formed organization founded by Mr.Nietzel's 6th grade class at West Middle School. We saw the damage and devastation that occurred from the earthquake in Haiti and we decided we wanted to help. We talked as a class and understood that while we might not be able assist the victims with our own hands, we could still help in other ways. We decided our best option was to raise money but the question remained... HOW!?! We decided that we could offer people the opportunity to donate for Haiti relief, and in return, give them a token of our appreciation. That is where our bracelet idea came from. The search was "on" for a company that could bring our ideas to life, and for a fair price :) Our classes all submitted designs for what the rubber bracelet should look like and we then voted on our favorite design (which happened to be a mix of a couple different designs!) The next step was to get the word out to the public, this task has been left completely up to us as students. Poster designs have been created to hang around town, (we also found someone to print them for free!), this blog was created, we now have a Twitter page to keep everyone up to date on our progress (http://twitter.com/MrNsHaitiCrew) and a YouTube video is in the works. We are so excited to start getting these bracelets out to the public, so if you would like to purchase one (or 100!) we are asking for a minimum donation of two dollars per-bracelet. If you live in Muscatine, you can stop by our school, West Middle School at 600 Kindler Ave. Muscatine, IA. 52761. If you live outside of Muscatine you can get in contact with us via the blog or twitter and we can work out a way to get you "hooked up." 100% of our profits are going to the American Red Cross which has guaranteed that all of our money raised will go directly to Haiti disaster relief programs. Please pass this link on. Join us in saying "I helped Haiti, I made a difference!" Thanks for your time, interest, and support
